experience on the the Lucent CONNECTVU APX project support staff.
Amulet can offer a unique and valuable perspective on ways in which
you and your staff can better utilize and leverage this product and
other OSS's.
While your vendor should always
be your primary support organization, Amulet positions their staff's
knowledge and services as a way to bridge gaps in-between your own
organizational structure and the services that Lucent and other
vendors provide.
OSS products are best supported
by a dedicated staff, familiar with the product and with your
environment. In many companies, these products are supported by
either a system administration group, a switch translations
organization, or simply a desktop support person.
Unfortunately, this does
not provide the best possible value from the product. With this in
mind, Amulet now offers the following OSS and Unix augmentation services:
Procedure auditing
and correction:

Backup process audits.
- Switch Generic audits and
update strategies.
- Systemic checkups to be
performed before any significant out-of-hours procedure.

auditing and cleanup:

Filesystem cleanups.
- CRON verification and standardization.
- Special process out of hours work.
Onsite project support.
These services
are intended to bolster your internal support infrastructure and not
to compete directly with any Lucent product or service offering.
All pricing is
based on a fixed hourly rate plus expenses. Project work is welcome.
